Services

We serve adults 60 and older living in their own homes through out Ventura County. All programs and services are dependent on the availability of volunteers. All volunteers are pre-screened and background checked before engaging with seniors.

Shop and Drop

Volunteers can grocery shop online for home delivery with Vons or Walmart. Volunteers also shop and deliver food and other essential items, including medication.

Honey-Do Crew

Volunteers may be able to preform minor repair tasks such as plumbing, electrical, and household maintenance.

Hospital Discharge and Homecoming Program

Volunteers support and monitor high risk seniors released from hospitals, emergency rooms, and urgent care facilities so they may successfully recover at home.

Phone Friends

Volunteers call seniors to check on their well-being and foster peer-to-peer friendships.

Dementia Friendly Relief Volunteer Program

Trained volunteers lend a helping hand to family caregivers caring for loved one with early stages of dementia and Alzheimers.

Senior/Volunteer Match and Adopt a Grandparent

Volunteers are matched with seniors to provide friendly visits and assit with daily functions such as taking out the trash, reading mail, and grocery shopping. With Adopt-a-Grandparent familys volunteer together.

Transportation

Volunteers drive and accompany seniors to medical appointments within Ventura County.

Building Bridges Intergenerational Program

Supervised high school students provide services such as light housework, light yardwork and other chores.

Referrals to Case Management

Staff may be able to provide referrals to local resources such as Meals on Wheels, in-home support services, and other organizations.
