Rose Delivery Team

This Valentine's Day - help us deliver roses to seniors in your community

We are looking for compassionate volunteer drivers to deliver Valentine's Day roses to seniors in Ventura County.
If you would like to be a part of CAREGIVERS Rose Delivery Team on Monday, February 14th, please give us a call at (805) 658-8530.

Annual Wearin' o' the Green

Lend a helping hand to the Wearin' o' the Green committee by helping to secure prizes for the raffle, silent and live auctions at the Norm Weitzel Open.
CAREGIVERS also need helping hands on the day of the event March 19, 2018.

Volunteer Recruiters

If you love being a volunteer, then help us spread the word! CAREGIVERS has more than 50 seniors on a waiting list waiting for our staff to send a volunteer to help. Just give us a call or drop us an email at: (I want to help recruit more CAREGIVERS Volunteers!) Let us know if you'd like to:

  • Borrow our Talking Points and speak to a community or civic group about CAREGIVERS. Our staff will provide brochures, newsletters and information for you to use in recruiting more volunteers.

  • Receive a list of upcoming events where we need help staffing the CAREGIVERS Information table.

Volunteer Coordinators

CAREGIVERS has more than 300 volunteers on record. Our staff needs your help to stay in touch each month. Let us know if you'd be willing to serve as a Volunteer Coordinator. CAREGIVERS will provide a call list of 10-15 other volunteers for you to check on over the course of a month. In addition to making sure volunteers are aware of upcoming events and workshops, our coordinators also help keep our staff informed of changes with our seniors. Helping us track activity among our volunteers ensures that our staff are able to dedicate attention where it's most needed.

Help CAREGIVERS Spread the Word!

Phone Friends

In Summer 2012, CAREGIVERS beta-tested a new program called Phone Friends. Phone Friends are dedicated to calling lonely seniors. Many of the Phone Friends who volunteer to make calls are isolated seniors themselves! This peer-to-peer calling is very effective as seniors often have lots in common to talk about on the phone. If you like to talk on the phone, consider becoming a Phone Friend too. It's amazing what a friendly, compassionate call can do to brighten a frail, lonely senior's day. You may be the only person they hear from!
