Pablo has been in Cable, Radio & Television to include sales and station management since 1977. Working in Los Angeles, Chicago, New York, Tucson, West Palm Beach and settling in Oxnard/Ventura, California, he joined Gold Coast Broadcasting in Ventura, California in January 1999 and is known throughout the community for his commitment and generosity to underserved communities. To this end, he has been honored many times, including Ventura County Citizen of the Year in 2008. Pablo has served as auctioneer and host for the golf tournament since 2009 when he was first hooked on the organization thanks to his wife’s passion for helping seniors. “A more noble cause could not exist!” Ortiz said.

Sam and his family have lived in the City of Ventura for 28 years with his wife Lynn of 29 years. They have two daughters, Nicole and Dottie. His contributions to the community can be seen across numberous organizations in Ventura:, including the American Lung Association, Food Share, YMCA, and Ventura Home Care. He currently represents Classic Sleep Care, Inc., which specializes in Home Sleep Diagnostics and Sleep Therapy, building on his experience in the Respiratory Care field for 38 years. Sam’s history with the Wearin’ o’ the Green dates back to 2002 when he followed in the footsteps of Norm Weitzel and Jack Collings, helping to produce the tournament for nearly a decade.
